(hereinafter "the Company") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter "this Policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the service "E-Document" (hereinafter "the Service") provided on this website. Article 1 (Personal information)
"Personal information" means "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information: information relating to a living individual which can identify that specific individual by the name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details or other description contained in the information, as well as data relating to appearance, fingerprints or voiceprints, and information such as the insurer number on a health insurance card which can identify a specific individual from that information alone (personal identification codes).
Article 2 (Method of collecting personal information)

Article 4 (Changes to the purposes of use)
- The Company shall change the purposes of use of personal information only where it is reasonably recognised that the purposes of use are related to those before the change.
- Where the purposes of use have been changed, the Company shall notify users of the purposes after the change, or publish them on this website, by a method prescribed by the Company.
Article 5 (Provision of personal information to third parties)
- Except in the cases listed below, the Company will not provide personal information to third parties without obtaining the user's prior consent. This excludes cases permitted under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other laws and regulations.
- Where it is necessary for the protection of the life, body or property of a person and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
- Where it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual concerned
- Where it is necessary to cooperate with a national government body, a local government or a party entrusted by them in carrying out affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the consent of the individual concerned is likely to impede the performance of those affairs
- Where the following matters have been announced or published in advance and the Company has notified the Personal Information Protection Commission
- That provision to third parties is included in the purposes of use
- The items of data provided to third parties
- The means or method of provision to third parties

- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, in the following cases the recipient of the information shall not be deemed a third party.
- Where the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use
- Where personal information is provided in connection with the succession of a business due to a merger or other cause
- Where personal information is used jointly with a specific party, and the individual concerned has been notified in advance, or placed in a state where they can readily know, of that fact together with the items of personal information used jointly, the scope of the parties using it jointly, the purposes of use of those parties, and the name of the party responsible for the management of that personal information
Article 6 (Disclosure of personal information)
- When requested by an individual to disclose their personal information, the Company shall disclose it to that individual without delay. However, where disclosure would fall under any of the following, the Company may not disclose all or part of the information, and where it decides not to disclose, it shall notify the individual to that effect without delay. A fee of 1,000 yen per request is charged for the disclosure of personal information.
- Where there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property or other rights and interests of the individual concerned or a third party
- Where there is a risk of significant impediment to the proper conduct of the Company's business
- Where it would otherwise constitute a violation of laws or regulations
- Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal information, such as historical information and attribute information, shall in principle not be disclosed.
Article 7 (Correction and deletion of personal information)
- Where the personal information about a user held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company, through the procedure prescribed by the Company, to correct, add to or delete that personal information (hereinafter "correction etc.").
- Where the Company receives a request under the preceding paragraph from a user and judges that it is necessary to comply with that request, it shall carry out the correction etc. of that personal information without delay.
- Where the Company has carried out a correction etc. under the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to carry out a correction etc., it shall notify the user to that effect without delay.
Article 8 (Suspension of use of personal information, etc.)
- Where the Company is requested by an individual to suspend the use of, or to erase, their personal information (hereinafter "suspension of use etc.") on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use, or that it was obtained by improper means, the Company shall carry out the necessary investigation without delay.
- Where, based on the results of the investigation in the preceding paragraph, the Company judges that it is necessary to comply with the request, it shall carry out the suspension of use etc. of that personal information without delay.
- Where the Company has carried out a suspension of use etc. under the preceding paragraph, or has decided not to carry out a suspension of use etc., it shall notify the user to that effect without delay.
- Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, where a suspension of use etc. would involve substantial expense or would otherwise be difficult to carry out, and alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, the Company shall take those alternative measures.
Article 9 (Changes to the privacy policy)
- The content of this Policy may be changed without notice to users, except for matters provided otherwise by laws and regulations or by this Policy.
- Except where separately provided by the Company, the changed privacy policy shall take effect from the time it is published on this website.
